With light fittings and reduced equipment it becomes a lightweight, versatile sports and everyday bikes at 11.0 until 13.0 kg. With Racks front and rear you have a sovereign Touring Bike; Suspension fork and suspension seatpost open up the paths and tracks beyond the asphalt ribbons. And in combination with Drop Bar  the "cross 7005" is a great Randonneur.

Aluminum frame although there are a dime and a dozen around, but with the usual standard, the "7005" has little in common. 

Normally the aluminum frame rule of thumb: the lighter the better. Not so with Velotraum. Very high frame stiffness at a relatively low weight is most important togehter with first class workmanship and material quality. 

A real rarity and nearly 1,000 grams lighter then the "cross CrMo". The "cross 7005" is available in two different top tube lengths. Normal and Long.

To achieve this, we use a number of constructive gimmicks. So we increased the steerer tube diameter from 41 to 42 mm, using an exceptionally voluminous top tube (ø 40 mm) and a special seat tube. We refrain, wherever it is possible, on the ovalization of the tubes at the joints, since this rather deteriorates the frame stiffness (except in the bottom bracket). In order to weld, for example, the 40-mm top tube optimally to the seat tube, our specially tuned seat tube in the joining area has a diameter of 37.0mm instead of the usual 34.9 millimeters. Top and down tubes have increased wall thicknesses (2.0 to 2.3 millimeters) in high load areas near the steerer tube. While this takes a lot of effort in the tube manufacturing, but it also increases the headset stiffness and lets our frames exceed the demanding EN standard for MTB frames. The lower requirements for Touring bikes was not good enough for Velotraum Frames.

In sticking with the minimalist appearance and the high capacity we customized our own CNC dropouts with elegant integrated and highly resilient Rack mounting threads, Kick-stand bracket and disc brake mounts. M5 threads for mudguards and Racks found both on the seat as well as to the chainstays, the latter in an extra solid execution.
