Aluminum is the material of choice for higher performance. For this purpose, Sapim has chosen the highest aluminum grade possible (7075 T6) for this sort of usage. It combines light weight, strength and corrosion resistance. The anodized surface treatment provides various color possibilities.
 
Sapim's original Polyax Alloy nipples have a rounded profile, which allows up to 9 degrees of rotation for improved spoke alignment and durability. 
  • Material: Aluminum: 7075-T6 aluminum,
  • Special coating on thread and nipple surface to further reduce corrosion and reduce friction between spoke/nipple and nipple/rim
  • Weight: 32 nipples weigh 20g (12mm length); 0.6g / nipple
  • Length: 12mm

  • Wrench interface: standard 0.127" (3.23mm) across flats
